Privacy Policy for Bananadoku
Effective date: July 7, 2026 Last updated: July 13, 2026
Ran Tao ("we", "us", or "our") provides the Bananadoku mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, uses, stores, and shares when you use it.
This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive, and other applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
This version of the Privacy Policy describes the App when it displays third-party advertisements through Google AdMob. If you are using an earlier version of the App that does not display ads, the advertising-related data practices described below do not apply.
Summary
Bananadoku is an offline puzzle game. We do not require you to create an account.
The App stores gameplay progress and preference settings locally on your device so the game can function properly.
In versions that display advertisements, the App uses Google AdMob to serve ads. Google AdMob may collect and process certain device, advertising, and usage information to deliver and measure ads. We also use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present consent and privacy-choice messages in regions where they are required.
We do not sell your personal information. Where personalized advertising or tracking is used, it is based on your consent or applicable legal permissions, and you can change your choices at any time through the App's settings or your device settings.

For purposes of the GDPR, the data controller is:

Information We Collect
Local Gameplay and Settings Data
The App stores the following information locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and other on-device storage APIs:
- Current level and selected game mode
- Board progress and game state
- Hearts remaining, mistakes, and hints remaining
- Selected language
- Sound and haptics settings
- Your advertising consent and privacy choices managed through UMP, where applicable
This data is used solely to restore your progress, remember your preferences, manage your consent choices, and provide the game experience. It remains on your device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the App, except as described below for advertising purposes.
Information Collected for Advertising
When you use a version of the App that displays ads, Google AdMob may collect and process information such as:
- Device information, including device model, operating system version, screen size, and mobile network information
- Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS): not collected. The App does not request tracking authorization and never accesses the IDFA.
- IP address, which may be used to derive approximate location
- App usage and advertising interaction data, such as ads viewed, ads clicked, and how you interact with ads
- Diagnostic data, including crash reports, performance data, and technical logs related to ad serving
- Cookie or similar identifiers used by Google for ad delivery and measurement
This information is collected automatically by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and processed by Google under its own privacy practices. We do not directly collect or store this information on our own servers.
Tracking Authorization and IDFA
The App does not request tracking authorization through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not engage in tracking as defined by Apple (linking data collected from the App with data from other companies' apps or websites for advertising or measurement purposes). Ads are served by Google AdMob in personalized form (with your consent collected through UMP where required) or in non-personalized or limited form.
Advertising and Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob to display banner ads, rewarded ads, and interstitial ads. AdMob is provided by Google LLC and its affiliates.
Google may use the information described above to:
- Deliver ads to your device
- Measure ad performance and prevent invalid activity
- Show personalized ads when permitted by your consent and device settings
- Show non-personalized or limited ads when consent or tracking permission is not available
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, which is available at:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can learn more about how Google uses data from apps at:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
For users in regions where consent is required (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), and for applicable U.S. state privacy laws, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present consent and privacy-choice messages.
UMP helps us:
- Request and record your consent for advertising and related data uses where required by law
- Provide a way for you to review or change your privacy choices later through the App's settings
The choices you make through UMP are stored locally on your device and may also be managed by Google according to its UMP service terms.
Other Third-Party Links
The App may include links to external support, terms, or privacy pages. If you open one of those links, the website or browser you use may process information under that website's own privacy practices.
Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your local gameplay and settings data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
- To provide and operate the App: Processing is necessary to perform our contract with you (the license to use the App) and to pursue our legitimate interest in delivering a functional game experience.
- To remember your preferences: Processing is necessary for our legitimate interest in providing a personalized experience, such as your selected language, sound, and haptics settings.
- To manage your consent choices: Processing is necessary to comply with our legal obligations under applicable privacy laws.
For advertising-related processing carried out by Google AdMob, the legal basis depends on your region and choices:
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising data use is based on your consent collected through UMP.
- In other regions, advertising data use is based on your consent or another applicable legal basis, such as legitimate interest, as permitted by local law and your device settings.
Because local gameplay data is stored on your device and not transmitted to us, we do not have direct access to it.
Tracking
The App does not track users on its own. However, when you use a version that displays ads, Google AdMob may collect and use identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads.
Personalized advertising occurs only where allowed by:
- Your consent through UMP (where required); and
- Other applicable legal requirements.
The App does not request tracking authorization and does not perform cross-app tracking as defined by Apple. If you do not provide consent, Google AdMob will still serve ads, but those ads will generally be non-personalized or limited.
You can manage your ad-related choices at any time:
- In the App: open Settings → Privacy Choices to review or update your UMP consent choices where available.
- On your iOS device: the App does not request tracking authorization, so it does not appear under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Through Google: visit https://adssettings.google.com to manage Google's ad personalization settings.
Sharing and Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.
When Google AdMob serves ads in the App, Google may process certain device and usage information as described in this policy and in Google's privacy policy. This processing is for advertising delivery and measurement, not a sale of your personal information by us.
We do not otherwise disclose personal information to third parties.
International Data Transfers
Google AdMob and UMP may process data on servers located around the world, including in the United States and other countries. When data is transferred outside your country or region, Google applies appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, as described in Google's privacy policy and as required by applicable law.
Local gameplay and settings data remain on your device and are not transferred internationally by us.
Data Retention
Local gameplay and settings data remain on your device until you delete the App, clear the App's data through available device features, or the App overwrites the saved progress during normal gameplay.
Advertising-related data processed by Google is retained according to Google's data retention policies, which are described in Google's privacy policy. We do not maintain server-side user records for the App.
Security
The App is designed to keep gameplay and preference data locally on your device. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but the App does not transmit your local game data to our servers.
Advertising data is handled by Google in accordance with Google's security practices.
Children's Privacy
Bananadoku is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not ask for age or date of birth in the App.
Because advertising data is processed by Google AdMob, Google may apply additional restrictions for users that its systems identify as being under the applicable age. If we learn that we have received personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
If the App is submitted to Apple's Kids category or is directed to children under applicable law, additional review of this policy and the App's data practices may be required before release.
Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following data protection rights under the GDPR:
- Right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal information.

To exercise other rights or ask questions, contact us at trgstudio@outlook.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country or region.

- Adjusting your Google ad preferences at https://adssettings.google.com.
If you have questions, contact us at trgstudio@outlook.com.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App changes, including if we change our advertising practices, add or remove features, or need to comply with new legal requirements. When we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
